The TIFF format is the industry standard file type for archival imaging. It preserves photos with complete lossless fidelity and handles very high bit depths. The downside is storage — a single TIFF photo from a DSLR can easily be 50 to 100 megabytes. If you need to send or use TIFF files, converting them to JPG greatly decreases storage while
